An update on PMMUs for sale: An acquaintance of mine, Brian Hall, is selling Motorola 68851 PMMU's (Paged Memory Management Units) for $125 (he's buying enough so that the unit cost has gone down). This price includes UPS Blue shipping (but only for prepaid orders: orders shipped COD are discouraged, and will be charged extra due to the time/hassle). The 68851 is useful for Mac II owners who want to use A/UX or Virtual Memory on their computers. Connectix Corporation sells an INIT called "Virtual" for $295 that will allow you to get up to 14 MB of RAM using disk space. Apple has also promised that it will provide Virtual Memory at some point in the 1990's with System 7.0 :-) Again, Brian would prefer that you send him a cashier's check, certified check, or money order with your order; personal checks are OK, but he'll wait for the check to clear before he ships your PMMU.
