Hi Mac folks, I'm interested in printing banners with graphics on an imagewriter II. My mac is a plus beefed to 2.5 MB. I see Printshop in a Mac Warehouse catalog. Looks like it will do the trick. has anyone ever used it who can tell me if it works well/badly? Or does anyone have any other recommendations for banner producing software? Thanks for any and all information. -- Sid Shapiro -- Relational Technology, Inc sid@rtech.com (415)748-3470

I think MacBILLBOARD and MacBANNER are available on most BBS's. I tried it a few times with an older machine and older system software. It's
OK, just kind of primitive. You might need something prior to MultiFinder
days to run it unless they've upgraded it. But I sort of remember a
discussion a long time ago that they had no intention of updating it.
You might try asking MacWarehouse what system it runs on.

The graphics in PrintShop are for an Imagewriter, hence that is what comes out of a laserwriter, but it does the job, supplies many graphics for what you need. My children love to use it for making cards, banners, and posters. I use it for Girl Scouts myself. Bea Hwong Siemens Corp Res

It's > OK, just kind of primitive. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= I purchased it because I know how well it works on an Apple ][. I have used it on an SE with system 6.02 and 6.03 with no problems. The graphics are easy to use as are the borders. My complaint is the quality of the letters with 'signs.' They are indeed primitive as the person above stated. I am not at all happy with the poor quality of the print even with a LaserWriter ][NT. You have to use limited sizes or you get the " J A G G I E S " something awful, even if you select smoothing (on everything). Maybe I'm not doing something properly. If you try to use a font size that is not in the outlined numbers, you get the " J A G G I E S ". (Ugh !!) I feel like I wasted my money. The Apple ][ version with an Imagewriter ][ looks better (believe it or not) !! I have used both. =-=-= Email: david@jc3b21.UUCP -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Dave =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= EOT
