Since I'm having a bearing problem with my MacBottom HD21 (grind, grind, grind, uh!), and my drivers for my MacBottom serial drive are no longer compatable with sys 6.0.3, I've decided to look in to another hard disk for my system. I'm interested in any information on the SyQuest 45 (actually 42) MB removables, including personal opinions, prices, reliablility, drawbacks, etc, on all models. I'm particuarly interested in the Ehman drive, since it's *cheap*. I'm *sure* this has been discussed before, so if anybody collected/summarized this before, please mail me a copy... Oh yeah. Anyone out there with a 128K or 512K mac who needs a serial 20MB harddisk with built in cache and spooler? (i.e. no scsi port) Give me an offer. It's a MacBottom 20MB serial drive, with the latest drivers available from PCPC. Caveat: It is *not* upgradable to a SCSI. PCPC stopped doing that a while back. --- Keane Arase | Thought for the Day: kean@tank.uchicago.edu | Drive safely, Drive Offensively. syskean@uchimvs1.uchicago.edu | -- An old Chicago rush hour motto :-) * Please file the usual disclaimers here *
