I have tried for a while to have someone e-mail me a copy of Theldrow. Either my postings are going nowhere, my return e-mail address is wrong or nobody is responding. I then tried to find out if I could FTP to an archive, but when I try to ftp(I read the manual) nothing happens. Is this because the computer I log onto talks to another computer that is on the net? Do I have to be logged onto the computer that is actually on the net? Is my other option a modem? Nobody in my company seems to have tried to FTP, or they say I can't do it. Is there sombody out there who could give me a hint about what I should do next? Thanks in advance. Dennis carlson THE OPINIONS HERE ARE TRUE. Where does one get an FTP manual? I would like to get more information on using FTP. I would also like to see a compiled FTP mac site list. I've just begun to use it but I don't know much about it. I think our Vax connects us to internet and it has a "hyper channel" for FTP. But all I do is log on to our IBM mainframe, link and access a special disk and issue the FTP command. I guess the connection between IBM and Vax is the LAA command. ...but I'm new at this. Tim Oravec Agronomy Dept. Penn State University Disclaimer: These are my opinions...ALL MINE!
