Occasionally, when using Versaterm 4.0, I have found that the cursor keys on my Mac Plus do not send the correct codes to the host. When I asked the Versaterm folks about this, they told me that this problem is due to a bug in the Mac Plus ROM - machines with this ROM will occasionally fail to identify the keyboard type. The recommended fix was to reboot or disconnect the keyboard to force the Mac to re-read the keyboard ID. Now I know that there were several versions of the Mac Plus ROM, and that the oldest version had at least one famous bug (Mac would not boot with an unpowered SCSI device attached). My Plus has this oldest ROM version, and I would like to know if any of the later ROM versions also fixed the keyboard recognizing problem. -- Julian Vrieslander Neurobiology & Behavior, W250 Mudd Hall, Cornell University, Ithaca NY 14853 UUCP: {cmcl2,decvax,rochester,uw-beaver}!cornell!batcomputer!eacj INTERNET: eacj@tcgould.tn.cornell.edu BITNET: eacj@CRNLTHRY
