I'm trying to compute an iterated spreadsheet which sometimes has some inherent instabilities. If the spreadsheet ever computes a third iteration, I know that the instabilities have occurred, so I could write formulas that would "stabilize" them. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any function which returns the iteration count in Excel 1.5. Am I missing something? I seem to remember that Multiplan at least had an ITERCNT() function. As an aside, I have taken a close look at Excel 2.2, and there are very few useful (to me, at least) features there that are not in Excel 1.5. Being able to read/write ASCII files from within a macro would be useful, but that's about it. I have no plans to spend $100 for this ability, however. --Mark
