[comp.sys.mac] Database information requested

A friend of mine wants to set up a bibligraphic database. Minimal requirements
are to be able to search by author, work title, selected key words (several to
an item) and be able to have some way to access nicely notes on the work which
may be in the database itself or perhaps in a file which can be accessed through
a desk accessory.

Does anybody have any suggestions?

p.s. I am an Atari ST person and thus I know *nothing* about mac software
