Lately we have been having some very strange problems using both Microsoft Word and MacWrite. We boot machine A, launch either Word or Write, and then somewhere between the end of the launch and the first menu command (it varies) the Mac crashes. We then give up and try again on machine B, where everything is of course working fine. To make matters worse, at some future time everything will work on machine A again, and eventually not on machine B. This is really annoying, as you might suspect. The system and program disk used doesn't matter. I've tried rebooting with different disks on a `bad' machines, but it still crashes. The contents of the system disk doesn't change. I figured someone was fiddling with something like the RAM cache, but I haven't found anything yet. These are the only applications that this happens with. If anyone has had similar problems or has any idea why this could be happening, please let me know. I have a school full of Mac users looking to me for an answer that I can't seem to provide. Thanks. +---------------------------------------------------------------+ | Disclaimer -> Reality is just a figment of your imagination. | | Remember -> Spatula City, for all your spatula needs.
