Hello...I just tried installing System 6.0.4 on another mac II today and everything seemed to go ok..... I noticed that the Control Panel DA wasn't in my new system, and as I had borrowed the 6.0.4 distr disks, I didn't have one....I used Font/DA mover to put the 6.0.3 Control panel and Monitors into my System/System Folder... I set my screen to 256 colors and bammmmm, I now get INVERSE COLOR VIDEO! When I reboot, everything looks normal, even the 'Welcome to Macintosh' box, but before the Welcome box goes away, the screen inverses!!! I tried turning off 32-bit QD, but no change....What is going on? I went back to 6.0.3 and everything works ok....SO it has to be the 6.0.4/6.0.3 incompatibility.... ================================================================== Phil Hunt "Wherever you go, there you are!!!"
