I'm interested in getting a ~40meg drive for my macplus. There are two companies offering substantially lower priced drives: MacLand - Macbest 40 external - 28ms @ $579 Hard Drives International - 45 Mb Miniscribe external - 28ms @ $549 These companies and prices were in the May MacWorld. Does anyone have any suggestions/complaints/compliments about either the companies or the drives I mentioned? I was warned about reliability in noname drives. either reply to the net or e-mail. thanks in advance, Jerry Quinn quinn@killington.dartmouth.edu

I am looking for a AFTER MARKET Hard Drive for my Mac II. What I would like to know is: Is there any difference between SCSI drives for a Mac, and the same drives for a IBM other than the neccessary software. In other words would a IBM SCSI drive with the proper installation software work for a Mac II?
