YES, I KNOW you said MAIL. But this is of general interest.

Most of the stuff on B&T's Excellent CD ROM is available via anonymous ftp
at apple.com. All the tech notes, all the sample code, a bunch of hacks,
tools, the Q&A Stack...

First, most of the stuff on that CD is NOT available from apple.com.
There are a large number of different tools of various sorts as well as
things like MacinTalk with interfaces and lots of neat MPW tools. Also,
there are images of just about every distribution disk Apple has ever
produced. Like Finder 1.1g with the beautiful mountain scene in the about
box.

Second, Phil and Dave at MacDTS would probably prefer that you not
confuse them with Bill and Ted from that awful movie. Ask em. :-)

As a European developer I'd be interested in finding out if
anyone on this side of the Atlantic has a copy. It hasn't been offered
to European developers yet and I don't know if Apple has any plans to
release it to us. (Does anybody know the answer to this?). Finally if
anyone in Europe wants to sell a copy I'd be very interested.

OK, most of the really essential super-important stuff.

"Awful"? "Awful"? Them's fightin' words! :-)

Actually, none of the stuff on "Bill & Ted's Excellent CD-ROM" is available
via ftp from ANYWHERE. Such a disk does not exist. Neither do Bill and Ted.

There is a "Phil & Dave's Excellent CD", however.
