I have been trying (unsuccessfully!) to get a mac file:
	mactivation.3.2.sit.hqx.Z
onto a Mac and running. What follows are my efforts to date:
".Z" - is easy uncompress in unix.
".hqz" - apparently compressed with an application BINHEX
So I tried to find BINHEX:
At net1.ucsd.edu they have "xbin" which un"BINHEX"s
files unfoutunately it creates 3 files
                    "mactivationx3x2xsit.data"
                    "mactivationx3x2xsit.info"
                    "mactivationx3x2xsit.rsrc"
which seems incorrect because ".sit" seems to specify
a "stuffit" archive. (How does one get these files
to the Mac with the right Resource and Data forks ??
             {assuming no sit compression})
At wsmr-simtel20.army.mil they have many file utilities
includeing BINHEX50.SIT! Infact all of the files have
the .SIT extension. So I down loaded it with the
"binary" option on ftp. I also downloaded it onto
the mac (with NCSA Telnet-FTP in Binary mode)
which has StuffIt on it. However, when I attempt to
UnStuffIt it gives an error message.
".sit" - StuffIt
I would appreciate any help from a kind MacPerson. I have evidently
messed up the files somehow.
Many Thanks,
Darrell Schiebel
