[comp.sys.mac] Canvas 2.0 BUG ???!

Hi, Mac Folks:

I don't know whether the following is a new feature or a bug in Canvas 2.0.

After creating an object in any kind of shape, I then click it and drag it
toward the top of the window. When it reaches the boundary of the window,
it passes over and disappears. If I release the object at this moment,

it will stay outside of the window forever. There is no way to get it back
(although UNDO or SELECT ALL may partially solve this problem). After
seeing this 'weird' feature, I also tried the same thing in MacDraw and
SuperPaint.

None of them has this boundary problem (in fact, they won't allow you to
move objects out of the window).

Later I found that objects can be moved out of the window in any direction
in Canvas 2.0. And to regain control over those run-away objects outside of
the right and bottom boundaries, you can simply change the drawing size to
a bigger size. However, no such luck for objects outside of the top and left
boundaries, since the upper left corner of the drawing window in fixed.

Does anyone know any application of this feature? Or, is it a bug?

Thanks a lot.

Richard
