(This question has probably been asked a million times, sorry about that) Does anyone have a Word --> Latex translator ? Is there any way of "forcing" Word printouts to look like Latex (ie. same font, etc..) ? I don't know much about fonts, but as far as I know Latex uses 'Computer Modern Roman', but so far I haven't seen the equivalent font on the Mac (except in Latex for the Mac) The problem is the following. We have a group of people that have to produce a (uniform) single report. Some of the group members use Microsoft Word(4.0) and others use Latex/Tex. Due to the "nicer" output of Latex (- this is a matter of taste -) it has been decided that the final report should be done in Latex format. Having a translator from Word -> Latex would be very useful. I know that many academics use Microsoft Word because you get good printout quality while using the WYSIWYG way of editing. However, there are an increasing number of conferences who prefer the submitted papers to be in Latex form (eg. Easy to send over the net, etc...etc..). /* The most common reply (which I don't think asnwers my question) is: "why don't you learn Latex ?". The answer is "Yes, when I have some spare time". But then, if I'm forced to use Latex, maybe I can just forget about the Mac altogether (and get rid of all the software that I already have to do word processing and others...). */ Any one care to help me out ? Thanks in advance. Thomas Hardjono thomas@cs.adfa.oz.au --------------------
