I can't believe this "Classical Music" is "REAL". Reading spots off a page put there by somebody else 400 years ago and making noise out of them is real? I remember one country picker a while back who said, "Yeah, I can read music - but not enough to hurt my playing none." Real, yeah. Real dead. I'm glad I sold my clarinet to the priest. O.K. There's the insult for today so you'll wake up. Now: Does anybody know what singles, EPs, albums, etc. are out by Anti- Nowhere League? There's this one song, "So What" that they have out, that I'm willing to buy an entire album to get my hands on. ???????? Also, WHO is this Edie Massey or Edie the Egg Lady, who has this "Punks Get Off The Grass" out, and does she have anything ELSE? Still further and even LESS, can somebody tell me who put THIS out: "Anwar Sadat - Anwar Sadat - / Where are you at, Mr. Anwar Sadat Blood on your uniform, Blood on the stairs/ Dead in a pile of chairs/ Nobody seems to care..." While we're on the subject, who out there will volunteer to publish the lyrics to the Butthole Surfers' "The Shah Sleeps in Lee Harvey's Grave". (I don't have them). C'mon - -- By the way, they've got a GOOD album out. The "music critic" in a local quichebucket weekly said, "I played, `Make the music go Bang' by X for a jazz enthusiast and he turned up his nose and said, `That sucks - What is it?' " My god. Some people still don't know about pearls before swine!! Or maybe they just can't recognize swine?? Sigh and aria,

Also, WHO is this Edie Massey or Edie the Egg Lady, who has this "Punks Get Off The Grass" out, and does she have anything ELSE? /* ---------- */ Edie Massey (the Egg Lady) is one of the folks who show up in Jon Waters movies (*Polyester*, *Pink Flamingos* (whence comes the "Egg Lady" nickname), and *Female Trouble* are the ones I know she's been in (words chosen carefully there to avoid saying "act" in any inflection)). As for "classical" music's reality--well, given the choice between MTVoid Top n, the incoherence and ineptitude that passes for New Wave, and Josquin des Prez, I know what I'd choose. Not ashamed to admit I'm a Capt. Beefheart and Oingo Boingo fan as well as one of Thomas Tallis, James Jones
