[comp.sys.mac] Placing graphics in Word 4.0

mkn@mace.cc.purdue.edu (Hofer) (10/20/89)

Does anyone know if it is possible to place a graphic in Word 4.0
and have it remain fixed on the page with the text flowing
around it like in Pagemaker?

Also is it possible to have the page numbers in Word 4.0 skip
a page?

Please E-mail any insights -- I'll summarize if warranted.

Thanks --dch

Actually that is the way the positioning feature works. Last night I wanted
to insert text before a graphic and it was flowing around it with the
graphic staying put. This happens when you work in Page View. If you go to
Galley view, then you can insert in front of the graphic and have remaining
text flow around it.

Make that page a separate section and don't create a header/footer for it
(or at least leave the page number out). If you're using just the default
page numbering, I don't know if this works the same way, but you could
try the same tactic.
