The Map cdev works on my Mac SE at work, also on 2 Mac Pluses there. But it will not appear on the control panel on my Mac Plus at home! Even if I yank all the INITs I can find. The Macs at work are stock, whereas my home Mac is a Mac 128k upgraded to 2MB. The ROMs are genuine. What on earth could cause the Map cdev not to like my Mac at home? The system on all machines is 6.0.2, and the control panel at home is 3.3.1 Hope somebody has an idea of what the problem is. --Lyle D. Gunderson zebolskyd@acoust.byu.edu

Map uses it, and so refuses to run on 512E's. There is an INIT that is supposed to fix the problem so that Map will run; it's called XParamInit, or some such. I don't think I have a copy of it, but I remember that it exists. (It uses a resource in the system file to store the extra bits Map wants to use.)
