[comp.sys.mac] Ethernet and Macintoshes

I am going to need to set up an ethernet network in my home
computer lab for a project that I'm doing with two PC's. We also have
a couple of Mac Pluses and a Mac II. Does anyone have any real 
experience with  this or some suggested materials that I look at?
I'm really pretty new to this.
