[comp.sys.mac] sections in MS Word 4.0

Back in the days of 3.02, one used sections to do multiple columns
(in 4.0 tables do this in an easier manner).  One used sections to
do page numbers, etc.

I have a document that prints sideways, the page is cut in half so
that each printed page has two facing pages.  The intent is that
that page be folded in half.  The document was originally a 3.02
document.  I converted it to 4.0, and even added some tables in the
middle.

However, I can't seem to insert new sections with 4.0.  In particular,
the "sections" command hangs.  Command-. breaks out of the errant
command, but that doesn't let me do anything i want.

Has anyone seen this, and more important, is there a work-around?
