I am looking for a drawing (painting?) program which will do the following: 1) Run on SE (128K ROM) era machine, no mac II, no SE/30, no upgrade, etc. 2) Print on HP printer. In other words, use a chooser printer which does not understand postscript. 3) Incorporate scanned images into the page. (TIFF format would be best.) 4) Has basic art tools, ie lines, arcs, circle, text, etc. 5) Use true grays as fills, not just dither patterns. (Not necessary but would be nice.) The only thing I have found to work was Cricket Draw and it produced a quickdraw version of the image (72dpi instead of the scanned 300dpi). Another problem is that all of the other artwork is already drawn in MacDraw II. I can save the files as PICTs and will only loose the gray fill info, so I should be able to import the artwork into any other program (I hope). Should I maybe be looking at dtp programs instead. If so, how easy are they to use for just drawing as opposed to a drawing program. I will summarize any responses received. brian oplinger@crd.ge.com <#include standard.disclaimer>
