Recently, United 1.0 was posted to comp.binaries.mac and there are problems with that and all versions until 1.04 which was re-written and seems to work as expected. The older versions will work sometimes and will not damage your system. Please do not report any problems unless you are using version 1.04 or later. The following is a brief description of United. United 1.04 is a FREE program to strip mail headers/trailers and combine multisegment BINHEX files. Optionally, the mail parts will be displayed in a window. On line help is available under the Apple menu. Selecting Open will first select the output file using the standard Put File dialog. Next each segment is selected using the standard Get File dialog. After the last segment is found, or when the user clicks on CANCEL, United will close the output file. Version 1.04 has been tried on single segment files, files with no mail headers, and very large segment files like CLIPS. Unlike earlier versions, this version no longer depends on the content of the mail header or trailer to find the BINHEX material.
