...the agency I work for is about to implement a support BBS. What I've been assigned to investigate is multi-line BBS programs. I need information on any multi-line systems that are currently available on the open market, and they may be either Shareware or Commercial. ...just to save time, those of you familiar with FYI=MCD can save your bandwidth. That program was already tested, and found to be sorely lacking in program functionality and customer support. ...I'll post synopses of any replies I get. Please send those replies via e-mail to mosley@peyote.cactus.org. Should the path.gods not be kind, post them publically on alt.bbs. Thanks in advance OM

GALACTICCOMM (305)583-5990 sells many different variations of multiline BBSes for pcs and they've gotten good reviews. -- E-mail: feustel@well.sf.ca.us FAX: 1-803-854-18121 {ucbvax, apple, hplabs, pacbell}!well!feustel WORK: 1-803-843-1500x4504

Yeah yeah yeah... Galactcomm has a multiline BBS. IMHO it's overpriced, and underfeatured. I have yet to see a BBS that has all the features that I like in a board (including mine, that's why I'm constantly hacking on it :-)) -- Sig: ++Christopher(); | "I am not nuts. I am condements. An excellant Multi-line BBS program is 2AM-BBS. It is available either shareware (the shareware version does not support multiline I think) or for purchase (I think $50, or maybe $75). There are close to 50 2AM-BBS's up and running. There "home" BBS is The Drew University Underground BBS, the phone numbers are 201-377-4538, 6810, 7861, 8193, 8245). Or there is a 2-line system in CA called Rivendell at 818-500-7517 or 818-793-5350.
