This is an open letter to those authors who support DemoWare: In a word, it reeks. To get a program and then to find that only one-third of it works with the only way to get the rest to work is to register with the author and pay the shareware fee really reeks. What if you go ahead, pay the money, and then find out that you really didn't want to use it after all? But you couldn't really decide because only the barest of functions were operative. I am one who has whole-heartedly supported the ShareWare concept (as a soon- future developer, I hope to use the same :) ) and have paid for the programs I use and thrown away the one I don't (yes, there are a few honest souls in the world). So for authors to come along and provide brain-damaged programs in the hope of enticing you to pay for their product is really a low blow. If their product is good, I'll buy it..if not, I won't. But please stop giving me copies of program where only 3 of the 15 documented functions really work. And if ya need more incentive, consider this: If I am unable to fully test software for my Mac, I don't want it at all. Even if it would make my bed and take my tests flawlessly, if I can't even try the thing out, I don't want any part of it. There, just thought I'd get that off my chest.
