Our school uses a Mac SE w/1Mb of RAM to publish a school paper, and we would like to expand the memory in order to fit a bigger portion of the paper into memory. People have quoted numbers like $300/Meg with a minimum of 2 Meg for upgrades. 1Meg x 8 SIMMS are available for only $150 or so. Is it possible to just buy one (or two) of these and install them without the blessings of an Apple Dealer? If so, how fast do the SIMMS need to be, and how would one go about doing this?
