Gee, and I thought there was an obvious answer to getting sub-pixel "effective" resolution on CRTs: gray-scale / anti-aliased / fuzzy / add-your-own-term /... fonts. Oh yes, ATM doesn't support such fonts now, but if you un-satisfied customers of Adobe were to send them a big hint that you'd like fuzzy fonts for Christmas, maybe they would send you a present. There's no reason they can't support anti-aliased fonts for machines that can handle them while leaving the whole mess Mac+ compatible. That's what the SysEnvirons call is for. -- Mark Wilkins
