[comp.sys.mac] Stuffit 1.5.1

perez@andromeda.rutgers.edu.rutgers.edu (Willie Perez) (11/19/89)

Hi, I was using Stuffit 1.5 and then I came across the release notes
for Stuffit 1.5.1. Raymond Lau suggested that everyone upgrade to 1.5.1
because 1.5 was a very buggy version. Something about updating the code.
I don't suggest anyone use anything but.
About BinHex, Stuffit will remove any mail headers or text not meant to be
part of the program. Therefore: no need to edit the files you get with
headers. However, Stuffit will not join files files that have been split into
parts. Then you will have to do some editing. I wish Stuffit could do this
in the future though. I don't see why files get split!!

There's a really easy answer to why files get split: mailers throw up all
over the place when sending files that are too long. This is more a problem
of network mailers than anything else.
