Here is the problem: I would like to be able to print Word 4.0 files on a Laserwriter. Trouble is, the Laserwriter is not connected to my MacIIx. It is in the next room, connected to a Sun 386i. I have previously printed Postscript files from other sources on that machine. I can connect by modem to the Sun and upload files, including Postscript files. So I thought I'd just create a Postscript file with word (holding down command-f while printing), upload it to the Sun, and print (lpr postscript0). So I do all that, but the Laserprinter will not print the file. The orange light momentarily flashes, but nothing appears. If I create the PS file with Laserprep, upload it, then tell it to print, I get the whole file printed out in pure text format - i.e., PS gibberish. Can anyone tell me what I might be doing wrong here? IUve tried varying the fonts, varying the upload format (text vs binary), with or without Laserprep, but nothing seems to work. Is there any crucial step that IUm missing out? Thanks, Tim van Gelder
