Has anyone noticed the following problem with Aldus FreeHand v2.0? When
exporting as an EPSF file a document containing text in the symbol font, the
created EPSF file has an error in the use of the font definition. It defines
it as "f0", but then writes "f3" when specifying the font, as follows:
%%IncludeFont: Symbol
/f0 /Symbol FF def
{
f3 [10 0 0 10 0 0] makesetfont
403 578.483398 moveto
0 0 32 0 0 (rr) ts
}
(This should produce two Greek letters, rho,rho.) This gives rise to the
PostScript Error: undefined offending command: f3 (in suitably imposing capital
letters).
Editing the EPSF file with the handy QUED/M editor and altering the occurrences
of "f3" back to "f0" permits the document to be printed easily. I verified the
error by exporting the document in EPSF format, then placed it in a new
document as an EPSF image, and then attempted to print it.
Any pointers to possible causes, fixes, punchbags, etc., would be most
appreciated.
