[comp.sys.mac] Jasmine disk repair

howard@attila.crd.ge.com (Donald R. Howard) (11/22/89)

My almost new Jasmine DirectDrive 100 has been away for repair
so long that I've forgotten what it looks like.

Jasmine seems to have a lot of these drives queued up for repair,
so I'm wondering if there's a common problem with them, and if
mine is likely to stay fixed (assuming I ever see it again)?

Thanks.

My thanks to those who responded to my posting about my
long gone Jasmine DirectDrive 100. Over the weekend I
received a letter offering me the choice of waiting at
least another 60 days for repair of my drive, or upgrading
to 130 Mb for $200. Being tired of messing with this stuff,
I opted for the upgrade.

I've never been overly fond of my slow, expensive, clunky
old Apple 20SC, but the damned thing has worked perfectly
for several years. What you deliver is more impressive than
what you promise.
