I am trying to decide which Macintosh to buy to replace the Plus I've sold, and I'd like to hear what people think about the benefits of hardware memory-management (i.e. having a 68030 machine). I don't care much about virtual memory, because memory is inexpensive and I don't want to sacrifice the wonderful response time of Macintosh software, but I would be very happy if System 7.0 prevents some system crashes by trapping "bad" memory writes by application programs (e.g. my own programs during development). Anyone care to hint or speculate or give me references? What about "Virtual"? Does it provide protection? Thanks. Gary
