[comp.sys.mac] Interfacing from Mac Draft to my own programs

sellswor@jarthur.Claremont.EDU (Scott Ellsworth) (11/29/89)

  Hello all.

I am working with Think Pascal 2.0 on various flavors of MAcintosh.
I have a program that works with various objects, breaking them up into
regions and manipulating the regions. I have been asked to modify it so
that one may put in the region boundries in MacDraw or MacDraft, save
them, then sumon up my program to deal with the created regions.

I have not the foggiest idea how the data is stored in draw format
                ___________
  Example: | _______ |
               | |_______| |
               |___________|

put into mac draft as two rectangles. I neeed to know the corner points
of both rectangles. It would also be nice if I could ignore any grouping
that the user has put in, and get the corner points regardless of what my
user tries to do.

Can anyone help me out? I have Inside Mac 1,2, and 5, and I am using
the Toolbox for everything I can think of.

  Thanks much.

Please reply by E-mail; I rarely have time to read news.
