This may seem like kind of an obvious question, but I can't figure out how to do it efficiently. Since we now have a large capacity HD, I'd like to copy the entire contents of my HD20SC to it, erase the HD20, and then copy everything back. The purpose of this would be to keep the fragmentation down on my HD20SC, which is used on my own Mac Plus (always to *maximum* capacity). However.... When I "Select All", it doesn't copy the invisible files from my HD20SC to the large HD, so these are lost if I reformat the drive. I have tried a number of HD backup programs, but they all insist on renaming the destination HD. What I want is just something that will copy the contents of the HD20 to a folder, and then copy it all back again, while leaving the other contents of large drive alone. By using DiskTop, for example, I can make the invisible files visible, and then they will be moved, but it sure is a large hassle for what should be a simple procedure. There is probably a blindingly obvious solution to this, but I can't see it. Suggestions welcomed. Please post here or E-Mail me directly.
