************************************************************************ This is for all who requested information but didn't recieve any of the updates due to mail problems (also any interested parties). ************************************************************************ Hello again, Unfortunatly the quality of the $65 SIMMs are not up to par with the relativly inexpensive boards from Technology Works. For $65 we get 90 days of warrenty, and a very cheap imitation of the real thing, no installation kits, no individual mailing/payment and we would have to purchase at least 200 of these things. I did manage to negotiate an $83 price from Technology works for anyone who mentions that they are purchasing for me (say "I'm purchasing for Dan Port and your price is $83"). The Chip Merchant is steadfast at $79, but they have a variable source (and thus questionable source) of chips. In fact last I talked to them they were out of stock on our particular SIMM. I know nothing about their service, warrenty, etc. My final recomendation is that each of you order individually from either: Technology Works 4030 Braker Ln. West Suit 350 Austin, TX 78759 voice: 512-794-8533 800-426-6375 FAX: 512-794-8520 (be sure to mention that you're ordering as per Dan Port to get the $83 price.) OR The Chip Merchant 800-426-6375 619-268-4774 FAX: 619-268-0874 P.S. My apologies to any of you who have already recieved this information. Reply's to: dnp@math.ucla.edu In real life: Dan Port

The Chip Merchant is Dan, was this meant for a local distribution or what? Also, what kind of quantity are we talking? I just got off the phone with Technology Works, and I said that I was ordering as per Dan Port and the price should be $83. They told me that they would go as low as $89 for 4. -- David Elliott dce@smsc.sony.com | ...!{uunet,mips}!sonyusa!dce (408)944-4073 "It's bigger than a breadbox, and smaller than the planet Jupiter."

I have an AT&T 6386 that needs 9's and am thinking about getting a NeXT in a year or so. I can justify adding more memory to the AT&T if I'll be able to use it with the NeXT... otherwise I'd just be wasting money. -- Palmer Davis -- Palmer T.
