I am having problems associating my Macintosh bitmap font with my Postscript font. I created the bitmap font using Fontastic, and the Postscript font using Fontographer. When I use the bitmap font on the mac screen with Quickdraw, it seems to work properly. When I print on the laser printer, it finds the Macintosh file which contains the PostScript font (I can tell because when it doesnt find the PostScript font, it generates one from the bitmap font) -- but it doesnt seem to use any of the characters out of PostScript font; it uses some default font (Chicago?) instead. I have looked at my FONT and FOND resources with Resedit, but found nothing obvious wrong. I had none of these problems for about a year, but last month, after making some changes to the font (which involved changing its name and changing it back again) it stopped working. Can someone with experience with Postscript fonts on the Mac tell me what is involved in the mapping of bitmap fonts to postscript fonts, and what might be wrong? Please respond via email: lippold@uinova.cerl.uiuc.edu Thanks!
