Here are the symptoms as described to me by a new Mac user. Changing the color of any icon on the desktop results in Apple menu displaing truncated DA list (Chooser and Control Panel are still there, but Calculator and some other DA disappear). The missing items then reappear some time later under some unspecified circumstances. I have MacPlus, he is running brand new IIx, and I can't reproduce his problem. Has anybody here seen similar effect? (his mac has only apple software installed on it) Reply in private, please. ggiergiel@vmsa.oac.uci.edu
