Attention Fighter Jocks! This is an attempt to redeem myself after misinforming millions and millions of fly-by-CPU pilots that Falcon does not currently run on 68030-based Macs. Judging from a barrage of responses I have received over coded network channels, the following statements seem to closely approximate reality: (1) Falcon 2.0 may or may not run on an '030 machine depending upon your star sign. I have two definite Nays on IIci's, a maybe and a Nay on a IIcx and a pair of Nays and Yays on the SE/30. (2) However, there is mention of Falcon version 2.2 that apparently works on IIcx's and SE/30's. I have no data concerning 2.2 and the IIci. (3) Spectrum Holobyte will tell you that the 2.2 upgrade will be available next month or it will send it to you right away for $3.00 if you send in your old original disks. (You can call 'em yourself at 415-522-3584). (4) The program still does not sport color graphics. Now I have a question. How in hell can one and the same program work or not work on nominally identical machines? Presumably there may be quirky interactions bewteen INITS which will vary from workstation to workstation, but then presumably you're all booting with the Falcon disk which should eliminate this problem.
