I have run into a couple of problems with Black Box: 1) Sometimes the screen saver acts perversely. What happens is that it fails to start up after the alloted time; i.e. I can go way from the terminal for say an hour and when I return the screen saver is not running. However, as soon as I move the mouse or type a character it kicks in. This seems to happen when MS Word 4.0 is the active application. My machine configuration is as follows: MacIvory (Mac II with Symbolics Ivory board), NS Ethernat card, Radius color monitor. I am using the following INITs: AASK Application Menu Boomerang DA Menuz Radius II Display (master switch is OFF) MacIvory Public Folder Radius Math Accelerator Rear Window Scroll Limit SUM Shield Temperment Tempo II TOPS Sound Master Windows Window Shade 2) How does Black Box determine the ICON to put in the task strip? The MacIvory Genera application (the one that launches the Symbolics Lisp system) has its own icon. But that icon is not what appears on the strip; instead I just get an icon of a hand writing on a document (This is the same icon that black box uses in the dialog it puts up when you click on an empty box in the task strip; i.e. the dialog box with the choice of "Application" or "Desk Accessory") -- Larry Baum Advanced Technology Center Boeing Computer Services uucp: uw-beaver!bcsaic!lbaum (206) 865-3232 internet: lbaum@atc.boeing.com
