I see Hayes advertising V-Series and everyone else marketing MNP error correction level 5. What's the difference anyway? Who suggests what? What's the standard among modems? What does all this really mean about error correction? What's better? It seems to me like 9600 baud speed modem will be the next standard in telecommunications between computers.
