[comp.sys.mac] Moving Encapsulated PostScript from Mac to PC...

I have been asked by a friend to forward this question to the net:

If you have an EPS-picture with an attached screen picture, made on the
Mac, it should be possible to paste that picture into Ventura Publisher 2.0
on the PC and still be able to see the picture on screen.

This is stated in the manuals for Ventura, but alas, the result is a heavy
system crash upon pasting the picture.

It can be done successfully using PageMaker and Arts & Letters. Is there a
reason why Ventura barfs at it, or is there a newer version that will fix
this problem?

Also, is there any program on the Mac that will convert any common picture
format (PICT, PICT2, FreeHand ...) into CGM format (Computer Graphics
Metafile) ?
