Incidentally, I called Cabletron, ... Larry Benson, as suggested by the poster.
Got materials back from Connie Lumbra, that suggested that this company
had Ethernet cards with Features:
"Include Netware, NFS, TCP/IP and Appletalk network software"
Pricing informatioon was not enclosed.
I called them back to get University prices and details of the NFS
implementation. Was informed by Connie that they do not provide NFS
just drivers that allow NFS, TCP etc. This was confusing, and she turned me
over
to a "tech" person, who informed me that they do not have NFS, and that
NFS for the MAC does not yet exist.

Apparently the company basically sells Ethercards with drivers
I suppose this is the death of another rumor
