Many thanx to all still replying, and to all that have replied. The two major highlights are as follows: From Dave Platt (dplatt@ames.arpa): Advises to either get an Appletalk interface: which takes up a lot of bandwidth on Appletalk networks, and quite possibly does not work on all network configurations (ie PhoneNet/EtherNet, etc mixes) Also, there is the possibility that the version it runs is not the same as most Appletalk Imagewriter II's, so some incompatabilities may exist. Along with Dave Platt, Rick (rrkasegu@athena.mit.edu) advises: Shiva Netserial. Both Mr. Platt and Rick advise to do it this way which uses its own chooser interface, and allows the Imagwriter I to be used as it was designed, as a serial printer. Also allows for more flexibility with dial up, modems, etc.... Many thanx to all, confirms my suspicions..Ace -- | Ace Stewart (Jonathan III) |A /\ | | Affiliation: Eastman Kodak Company.
