In the continuing saga of what breaks on IIci's, I have noticed minor problems with Application Menu and DA Menuz (formerly hierDA). Application Menu 3.4 works, but stray icons appear in the menu, and they change depending upon what application was used last. DA Menuz also works, except that on the control panel submenu, I can select only the first nine items. If I pick the, say, third item in the control panel, I go to it. If I pick the, say, 12th item, then I end up at the general panel, as if I hadn't picked anything at all. In my system, the general panel happens to be the tenth item in the menu, so I don't know if the bug is "not picking anything beyond the 9th or 10th" or "not picking anything beyond General" Also, in another post some weeks ago I complained about events not reaching applications. The culprit turned out to be Red Ryder, and now that we have White Knight eveything is fine. -- Willard Korfhage ARPA : korfhage@pucatt.poly.edu, korfhage@cs.ucla.edu UUCP : {ucbvax,randvax,trwrb!trwspp,ism780}!ucla-cs!korfhage "Castro Kicks Vanna Habit: Tough-talking tyrant vows he'll never watch 'Wheel of Fortune' again!" - Weekly World News

This sounds like a bug in ApplicationMenu that's been fixed. I think that version had a problem with holding onto a pointer into a handle incorrectly. You can try version 3.5, which is available by FTP from Apple.COM (in the /pub/dts/mac/hacks directory). Let me know if that solves the problem. Larry Rosenstein, Apple Computer, Inc.
