Well I just got my MacIIci and my portrait display. I unpacked
everything and tried to put the system together. And guess what, the
cable for the full page display does NOT plug into the IIci built in
video port. So after several hours and a couple calls to Apple Canada
I discover that you need a special cable for the protrait display. In
fact, the cable is a free upgrade.
However, you figure that the guys at Apple would have their act
together enough to warn the purchasing public that a special cable is
needed, and ship it WITH the system !!! Now I get to wait for a few
weeks until the cable gets here. I am NOT impresed.
In case you need to know the part number, there are two possible
ones, that is right, even Apple does not know what is going on :
590-0615 or 590-0615-A
