Since you say that RR rips with Kermit protocol do you | know what needs to be changed? Actually I said that "White Knight 'rips'" with Kermit. Red Ryder 10.3 on the other hand is one of the slower programs I've tried for Kermit. Even though White Knight is fast with Kermit, I am not wholly satisfied with it's performance, it is often frustrating as it is not as reliable as the Kermit transfers in VersaTerm (often timing out on batch downloads, but never on single files). If you really want a trouble free Kermit and do not want White Knight, then you should consider VersaTerm Pro, so far it is the most bullet proof that I have found, along with Microphone. However in comparisons with Microphone, Red Ryder 10.3 and Mac Kermit, I have found that VersaTerm wins the Kermit transfer speed trials hands down (I have not tried Microphone II version 3, which may be faster than it's predecessor.. but then again the new VersaTerm Pro may be equally enhanced :-)). | thanks, | james968@sleepy.cc.utexas.edu -- Stuart Burden root@caladan.uucp
