A friend of mine runs a small doctors office. Five or six doctors and three secretaries. They want to move the wordprocessing, billing, and client database over to a Mac network. So here comes the question, does anyone have any experience with software specifically set up for a doctors office. They are looking for one large package that can handle all their needs, instead of going with a few general purpose programs. Thanks for any advice. ...alan ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- internet: commike@cs.buffalo.edu | bitnet: commike@sunybcs.BITNET | uucp: ..!{watmath,boulder,decvax,rutgers}!sunybcs!commike Real-Life: Alan Commike - SUNY @ Buffalo, Buffalo NY "Huh?? - cut my hair to get a job!? I have a request of the net which I'm pretty sure hasn't been discussed in the several years I have been following this newsgroup. Of course, I might be wrong. I am in need of some information on medical software which will be used in a doctor's office. What I need it to do is scheduling, billing, patient record keeping, and many other tasks. These will eventually include the sending of insurance claims electronically. I have access to the Apple Vertical Product Directory, and it lists a ton of applications/packages that do all of this. I would really appreciate it if someone could point me to a review of some of these applications so I can make the right decision. These packages are all pretty expensive, so buying the wrong one will be a waste. Also, any personal experiences with this type of software would be welcomed, as will experiences with the support that the vendors supply. If a more detailed description of what I'm asking is necessary, don't hesitate to email me. Thanks a bunch in advance. ||+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++|| || Blayne Puklich puklich@Plains.NoDak.EDU "I think I'm going || || NDSU ACM Vice-Chair nopuklic@Vaxosaur.NoDak.EDU bald..." || || NDSU, Fargo, ND This space intentionally left -- Rush, from Caress || || (701) 237-4408 blank. of Steel, 1975 || ||-------------------------------------------------------------------------||
