   #2 on my list of things I would do if I had the source to the Finder
  

   #1 Change Option cleanup to sort alphabetically.
   #2 Have user configurable defaults for applications to open file types
      'PICT', 'TEXT', 'WORD'-MacWrite files, 'MPNT'-MacPaint, etc.
   #3 Application links, and an application dock.
   #4 Allow the trash can to be moved permanently.
   #5 Allow color icons.
   #6 Improve the file copying algorithm

   ...These are all I remember offhand...
