In NCSA Telnet, select Open Connection... from the File menu and then after
filling in the dialog box, click Configure rather than OK.  You will then be
given the option to set a number of characteristics of the terminal emulation,
including the ability to request a 132 column display.  (If this does not
work, you are using an out of date copy of NCSA Telnet.  You can get version
2.3 from ftp.ncsa.uiuc.edu via anoymous FTP.)
