[comp.sys.mac] SCSI T-connector to use with dead-end SCSI devices

kinninger@biolgy.wustl.edu (01/09/90)

A few months ago I asked if anyone knew of a way to connect 2 "dead end" SCSI
peripherals to my Mac II. Some people suggested using an A/B switch and
others suggested using a flat ribbon cable with 2 connectors. At first I
considered using a 25 pin A/B switch between the Mac and the RS232 to SCSI
cable. Jeff Wasilko (wasilko@netcom.UUCP) replied that Jasmine distributes a
dual SCSI cable with their tape backup unit. Jasmine confirmed this and said
that they use a Tecmar SCSI T cable. (It's actually made by Amphenol). I
ordered the cable from my local Tecmar rep. The Tecmar part # is 811666 and
cost was $89.00. It works fine. Thanks for the all of the advice.
