I've been considering the purchase of a Macintosh on a limited budget, and I I have a few questions. In particular I would welcome speculation on whether it is wise to purchase a Mac Plus at this time; I've heard rumors to the effect that it will be phased out. Perhaps when that happens there may be a few sales on them, or are they as low as they are likely to go? I also read in a MacWorld issue a couple months old that Apple is working on a low- cost Mac, perhaps this summer? I'm also wondering if can re-use my printer and hard disk subsystem from an old computer. The hard disk is a 10 meg with a SCSI board interface. Does anyone know of a source that could sell me software to allow a Mac Plus to use this disk? I think the hard part is getting the disk initialized, no? The printer is an Okidata Microline 92. Do third-party vendors of printer drivers exist for these? Thanks in advance. E-mail is preferred, to the address below, since the postings pile up in this newsgroup.
