[comp.sys.mac] A/UX market

bagpiper@pnet02.gryphon.com (Michael Hunter) (01/10/90)

Does anybody know how many macs there are out there running A/UX? What is the
cost of the X-Windows software for A/UX? What about the compatibility between
A/UX and Mac applications (I know about the pointer/handle/32-bit clean
problems)?

                                                Michael

The January 1990 issue of UnixWorld puts the number at "fewer
than 15,000."

The article on A/UX is not all that interesting, but it notes "Most
observers think A/UX was created solely for government bids."
